Adult Social Support Groups

In response to need across the county we have established adult social support groups that offer social connection and interaction, personal development and of course fun!

Following focus groups we launched adult social support groups in Kettering, Northampton and Rushden/ Wellingborough. These support groups function to provide our community with a space where they can be themselves, and explore their triumphs and challenges with individuals who may better understand their experiences.  As with all of our work, we are led by the voice of those accessing our services, hence the starting point was a focus group in each area.

All of our social support groups are facilitated by one of the staff team - you can see more about them, including a picture here:

Kettering Group:

The lead facilitator for this group is Diane (you can find out more about Diane here).  The Kettering group meets on a Friday.  On the first Friday of the month we meet at the Family Hub (the old Sure Start Children Centre) on Montagu Street between 10-12, and on the third Friday of the month we meet at various locations for an activity in the evening from 7.30pm.
