Grants

Newlife Fund
The Newlife charity provides equipment grants for essential items like buggies and specialist beds for children and young people.  You will need professional support to evidence the need for the item you are requesting but they are very good at helping. They also have specialist therapy pods that they loan out for FREE on a 12 week cycle.

Family Fund
This is a means tested grant available once per year to families with children under 18 with additional needs.  They are able to help with a wide range of items from white goods, such as a fridge/freezer, to pay items that would specifically benefit your child with ASC, such a s a trampoline or even an iPad.
Vouchers can also be provided for a family short break/holiday at somewhere like Haven.

Charity Link
Charity link is an organisation that will support individuals and families to find the right grant pot for them to meet their needs in times of hardship.  They will then apply for you, and support you through the whole process.
They cover Leicestershire, Rutland and Northamptonshire, so have a good local knowledge of what is available and are effective in finding financial support for those in need.
You will need a professional or an organisation to refer you to them as they do not accept self-referral.
